We like to call Puck Drops the frozen corner of the Big Tailgate. It's your home for extended coverage of the Carolina Hurricanes, featuring live blogs of every home game (and selected away games), postgame reaction from the locker room, analysis featuring Curtis Media exclusive analyst Tripp Tracy, columns and opinions, and much, much more.
It's also the online home of the Puck Drops Podcast, a weekly look inside the Hurricanes featuring analysis and commentary from some of the NHL's biggest names. The podcast comes out every Monday during the season and is available both here at thebigtailgate.com and via iTunes.
The ringleader of all this is Brian LeBlanc. Brian is in his third season covering the Canes for Curtis Media Group, moving upstairs to the press box after six years as a season-ticket holder. Taylor Zarzour likes to say that Brian dreams of forechecking schemes, and it's painfully close to the truth. Brian's is the disembodied hand holding a WPTF microphone that you see on the news the night after a game, and hopefully that's all you see lest your television start acting wacky. Email Brian with podcast suggestions, blog ideas, constructive (or deconstructive) criticism, or anything else at
puckdropspodcast@gmail.com.
Tell your friends about us! We're on
Facebook and
Twitter, the latter of which is updated throughout every home game with scoring plays, so you'll always be connected to the Canes no matter where you are.
