» Game 81: Hurricanes 5, Canadiens 2

The Canes gave their fans a heck of a send-off into the offseason Thursday night.  First they announce that the team has been awarded next season's All-Star Game, then they go out and put on a show against the Habs.  Eric Staal had a hat trick on hat night, Chad LaRose had four points and the Canes made the Canadiens nervous with a 5-2 win in the home finale that kept the Habs from clinching a playoff spot.
